Have you ever found yourself saying, “Life was not supposed to be like this”? Or you may have asked, “Why does life have to be this way? What went wrong?” I have been asking these questions for a long time and I’m sure there will always be questions and wondering why at times. I am also certain that life can be better. Self-evaluation and seeking answers when life is adrift is a good thing. Life’s situations should cause us to question, seek the truth and ponder all that is before us. Life is a curious thing.
Joanie tells me to write, write, and write some more. At first, I didn’t know where to start. Just like my morning prayers, I just wasn’t sure where to start. Then I realized that I needed to start where I am. If you are having trouble knowing where to start, then start simply like I did; by thanking and praising God for all the good things He is doing in your life.
BEING THANKFUL. I thank God for another day that continues to bring hope for my family situation. I thank Him for being the One in control while my emotions are all torn up. I thank Him for holding things together while all the messy stuff is going on and it doesn’t seem like it is being worked out. I thanked him for my husband who loves me despite my own ugliness and confusion during this emotional time because he has his own emotions to deal with.
Smoothie, soup, quiche, stir fry, green juice, chips, salad, pizza, and so much more; kale is the most versatile vegetable of choice and is the absolute must eat wholesome food that I know of.
Kale has so many nutritional benefits. It is a cruciferous vegetable and it contains the largest concentration of health-promoting sulfur compounds, which increases the liver’s ability to produce enzymes that neutralize any potentially toxic substances that your body is exposed to. Kale is also rich in the powerful phytonutrient antioxidants lutein, zeaxanthin, and carotenoids that protect the lens of the eye. Kale is an ideal food not only because it is high in nutrients, but also because it is low in calories. One cup of steamed kale is only 36 calories.
Hey My Friend, have you ever been going about life, business as usual when suddenly a life altering event occurs? Something happens and immediately you know life has just changed drastically and will never be the same again. I’m sure most of us have. I am going through one at this very moment and it is very hard.
These events could be from a sudden announcement of your partner stating they are having an affair. Or maybe they want a divorce and you had no clue they were unhappy. Maybe it is from death of a loved one. Whether it was from a long term illness, a personal health diagnosis, or a sudden accident, it doesn’t matter, it is all life altering. Maybe someone you love committed suicide, or attempted suicide, or is a drug addict. Maybe they announced they were gay or have been prostituting themselves for whatever reason and you just found out. There are so many more reasons why our world becomes flipped upside down. Not one less important than the other because what affects you is no less important than what affects me. The pain is all the same.
