Hello, my new Friend. I am glad you asked where we are going. The answer is simple. We are walking toward Wholeness, spiritually, mentally, and physically. Life as we know it will end one day, so we are going to start living each day we are given knowing the fact that one day we are going to die. We are given one minute at a time. Life is a gift. I suppose that is why it is called the present. The present is given only once in a lifetime.
Living in the present is not easy, in fact, it is hard. When we revert to the past, we are attempting to walk backward and our bodies were not designed to go backward. Our feet point forward. I am sure that is why God created us that way. What I am not sure of is why we keep trying to turn our feet around and walk backward. We have to learn to walk in the present in order to find a peaceful future. Step by step, one foot in front of the other.
START WHERE YOU ARE.
I want to live each day we are given with exceptionalism, doing the absolute best I possibly can. I cannot do anything to change my yesterday choices, and the only way I can change my tomorrows is to choose to make wise choices moment by moment.
We live in a world that measures our value by the degree of successes we have achieved. Where do you work? Where did you graduate from college? Does your college have a winning football team? Where did you retire from? Do you have initials after your name? How many Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest friends do you have? How busy are you? Are your children successful? Are you a size 0? Are your abs tight?
Let me be the first to fill you in on what will happen in the not so far off future. You will get old and stiff joints will replace your current flexibility. Acetaminophen will be in your medicine cabinet. Your college’s football team will lose 2 years in a roll and they will not be invited to the Rose Bowl; more likely the Dirt Bowl. Facebook will be like a VHS player: an antique. If you are a size 0, you probably will have osteoporosis and your children will be talking about what nursing home to put you in. We will lose our titles, our virtual friends and we will be replaced by a younger generation. What we may be putting the most emphasis on will disappear.
That is why my Friend, I am encouraging you to join me in making daily choices that have the power to heal your future. I want to live each day intentionally, being the best I can be, adding value to not only my life but other people’s lives as well, rather than subtracting from it. Walking forward against the flow of mainstream traffic is tiring, but the end result of TriWholeness is so worth the endurance race.
The world puts emphasis on our outward appearance, but God says in 1 Samuel 16:9, that all He cares
about is our HEART.
HERE ARE 3 WALKING STEPS TO GET YOU WALKING FORWARD THE TriWholeness direction.
1. Commit to WALKING at least 90 minutes each day in the TriWholeness manner. What that means is commit 30 minutes to strengthen your spiritual well-being, 30 minutes to strengthen your mental well-being and 30 minutes to strengthen your physical well-being. Commit to being committed. Commit is simply defined as this: Just do it. No excuses. This blog site is all about encouraging you spiritually, mentally and physically and helping you remain committed to your commitment.
2. Start a walking journal and commit to writing in it. I will help you, but for now, just write. Don’t worry about what you are writing or being a grammar snob. Concentrate on your current reality; how things really are with your TriWholeness condition. I admit when I began committing to looking at my reality and stepped off my pretend stage, it was scary. But my Friend, LET YOUR FAITH BE BIGGER THAN YOUR FEAR.
3. ALWAYS REMEMBER. If a day goes by and you didn’t walk, it is Okay! You are a Friend of God and you are a friend of hundreds of others of us who sometimes falter in our commitments. Don’t stay away too long. Check the position of your feet and get back on track towards wholeness.
I’M HERE FOR YOU.
WANT TO WALK WITH ME?
I love you to health and beyond,
